"God’s plan for strategic church growth was for us to simply stop what we were doing, go sit with the poor, and learn how to love. Rolland and I did this, but our goal was not to start a church growth movement. We sat in the street to learn about the kingdom from the poor and from the children. Later, blind eyes started to see, dead ears started to hear, those who had crippled limbs started to walk, and the poor local pastors in their mud huts started to raise the dead."
